Our Company:

Gorgeous by God is a Natural Skincare line that promotes and improves overall skin health for various skin types. Our products are non-toxic and free of harmful and synthetic chemicals. It is animal-cruelty-free, non-parabens, and free of sulfate & phthalate. This skincare line is eco-friendly and affordable. Our products also produce healthy skin, protect against aging, and are a great alternative to other products that contain harmful chemicals.

How we got started:

Gorgeous by God not only sounds good, but it’s the profound truth that identity is Christ and we are made in His image. We also minister to women to encourage, uplift, build confidence, and help them grow closer to God while spreading the gospel that started with me. God had already chosen me to be the brand before it was thought of or established. Jeremiah 29:11 says… God already ordained this to be and allowed me to walk through some things in my life, and to understand my identity and purpose in Christ Jesus. Gorgeous by God was a God-given business, created 1 (one) year and 7 (seven) months ago after I rededicated my life to Jesus Christ. During the time of consecration, sanctification, healing, deliverance, fasting, and praying, the Lord helped me find my worth and a newfound appreciation for my temple, which is my mind, body, soul, and spirit. Although self-worth is an inside job, outward appearance does help as well. I struggled with adult relations that left me hurt, in pain, bitter and broken, and working with unforgiveness. Along with rejection and abandonment, as well as seeking love in the wrong places, it took the love of Christ to mend my brokenness. I was sexually and verbally abused, and I have overcome childhood traumas, generational curses, and self-hatred amongst other things. God had put my broken pieces back together by filling me up with His love which inspired me to want other women to experience the goodness of God through my products. Gorgeous by God offers both services and nourishment for the body by using our products and spirit using the word of God. God says…. “man looks on the outward appearance, but God sees the heart.” (I Sam. 16:7)

What I want others to experience using my products?

I want people to experience healing and love. When they look in the mirror, to see themselves through God's eyes and to know and remember that they are made in His image. They are fearfully and wonderfully made and special in His eyes. The world and life’s situations tend to define us according to the situations we have been through or have done, but that is so far from the truth. The truth is that we are treasures in earthen vessels and we can take care of ourselves as such. This is also a fun, unique, and self-loving way to glorify and honor Godwith your body. It is also a wonderful feeling to pamper and nurture yourself with natural, smell-good products creating a safe and trusting rapport with our customers concerning the use of any product we pour love and care into by not incorporating harmful chemicals.

What are some of the biggest hurdles you feel you have overcome?

Let me just start by saying that life has its ups and downs. I have been through some rough patches, but they say “what doesn’t kill you will make you stronger”. Now coming to know Christ and His word, it says that many are the afflictions of the righteous, but He delivers us out of them all. If it wasn’t for his hand in my life and strengthening me while going through these tough times, I would not know Him like I know him today. I am more than a conqueror and anointed to overcome.  1 hurdle was overcoming abuse, (i.e. verbal, physical, sexual, mental). The second hurdle was self-esteem due to not knowing who I was, I didn’t know I was experiencing an identity crisis. The third hurdle was a miscarriage that took me to the point of death but I made it through and lived. I overcame childhood traumas and practiced forgiveness. Inner healing and deliverance were also a hurdle because I had to face some fears and some truths exposed by the Holy Spirit. See, my life experiences were designed for me to walk through and for God to receive the glory so that others may be blessed and walk in freedom as I share my personal testimonies with others.

What I would like for aspiring entrepreneurs to know?

You must put God first.  No matter what happens, you can do all things through Christ Jesus that strengthens you. Through it all, God will always be with you like He is with me. Remember that He is the Source of your resources. It says in the word that from the works of our hands, God has given us the ability to create wealth Always count on the Holy Spirit to lead you and guide you through for all decisions, especially what doors to open and close. Prov. 16:3 says, Commit to the Lord whatever you do and He will establish your plans. Trust in the Lord with all your heart and don’t lean on your understanding, in all decisions acknowledge Him and He will direct your paths. (Prov. 3:4,5) The Holy Spirit is the One who gives you the gifts/talents so have joy & fun being creative, as He leads you for His purposes. Follow Godly principles about money, tithing, first fruits, and offerings.

Never let money be the total motivation, if there is a dry patch or it does not work out, you do not want to get discouraged and quit. Do it for God’s Glory. Money is not evil, God says that the LOVE of money is the ROOT of all evil., but it's good to have and we do need it for the kingdom. Money does allow us to buy things we need and want even, but the word says that we do not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.  That includes what you speak over yourself. We here at Gorgeous by God speak the Word over our business and we encourage other believers to do the same. We seek the kingdom of God and His righteousness, then all things will be added unto us as stated in Matt. 6:33.

My happy business moment:

My first moment was when I sold my first product., followed by compliments and feedback on what it did for them. The packaging I was told was appealing to the eye and the fragrances were nice. It boosted my faith that I could do it especially when I almost sold out of product at a vendor event and I was surprised and it felt exhilarating. I felt accomplished and it let me know that God had my back all the way! I always prayed that the Lord would make my business prosperous and it showed that day and it will continue for days to come.
