we normally talk about a film on mondays but theater counts too! right?
this past tony awards was monumental.
not only did the stars show up & out, but jennifer hudson from legendary film, dreamgirls took a win that catapulted her into a rare status of egot. the artist status now means she has won an emmy, grammy, oscar & a tony award in their career. a status that whoopie goldberg, and john legend have also achieved.
handing off awards for the evening alongside rupaul, some moments to remember was the host from west side story, sitting on actor andrew garfields lap singing about the nights festivities in jest.. ms. hudson won for her producer credit in the play, strange looping.
