emergency directed by carey williams & written by k.d davila, starring d. e watkins; what starts out as a grittier "superbad" spinoff, turns into a coming of age story in a bromantic way. one of our favorite scenes from this piece is of the leading guys, opening up and clearing the air about what it means, to finally graduate, and move on. we get a short insight to the fear & small abandonment issues these characters sense.. and how important our adolescent friendships are to our mental health and general well being. fuel with chaos but rooted in love, we see the different thought patterns and sensibilities as these gentlemen look to find a solution to their problem, a drunk passout out girl in their backseat.
