today we present to you, songs of the summer 2024 edition.

first on the list. for the kids, we are starting off with heiress harris.

she is t.i (the rappers daughter) whose mother is a hit songstress in her own right from the 90's "tiny". they came in with the "be you" challenge making something fun, soft and safe for the young kiddos. recently performed at the bet awards of 2024.

tyla is undoubtedly stealing the show for the girls and the young ones who are coming into maturity & woman hood. with her debut hits, "water" & now, "jump". tyla sets a new seductive tone with her audience giving the smash hit, "art". a fun play on becoming a love interests muse & inspiration.

willow is single-handedly dealing the cards for the rock, alternative & punk girlies all over, and she is winning. like a nice mix between solange & avril lavingne, willow is coming, combining free spirit & tenacity, grit & self love in a lenny kravitz new age dance. meet at our spot, is the anthem for all festivals of the summer giving that feel good free vibe along with the self awareness this younger generation comes with.

victoria monet is up next and that's hard to dispute. she has released everyone anthem, on my momma which has been running for over a yr.

and leading the way for the gentlemen are usher and chris breezy. with his deluxe album "11" a powerful astrology number. chris takes the cake with hit after hit and tour after tour. its like no hurdle can stop him, because he just keeps on going...and by going, we mean creating. though he is always defending himself against old rumors, it is safe to say that the universe conspires alongside this young lad, because he has also released auracles, a slipper shoe line..which leads us to, the ever gliding, pop lockin', my way composing, mr. "don't leave you girl around me." lol usher raymond... who made a major comeback for the summer with top hits like.."good good" a crooning song about a past love that is done with and left as just okay though they have had their love spats. usher was recently awarded the lifetime achievement award & best rnb award of 2024 by bet plus.

honorable mentions are the recurring players that we all expect to be on the list. drake with "family matters." lol & ken... with "not like us" the pair put competition back in the industry hip-hop circle & jabbed real good.. & well they handled eachother well. ken was announced victorious of the battle (a battle we have seen before between jay-z & nas in the 90's. where drake would be hov & ken would be nas). the win was handed to ken for the beat, the momentum, the momentum that was generated bringing unity to the crowd of brwn skn flks. but we cant decide, we like both.
